Keeping up with Media Encoding Developments for Silverlight

I have been very lax lately about keeping up with happening related to encoding video for Silverlight. With Silverlight 2.0 beta 2, there were some new additions like adaptive streaming. But I think the more exciting thing to be looking at is the industry happenings and third party products around it.
So here's my laundry list of things you should know about..
